NEW – Revised Clas Schedule THURSDAY Dec.18 (extended lunch)
This THURSDAY there will be a revised class schedule, with an extended lunch:
Blk 1: 9:00 - 10:15
Blk 2: 10:20 - 11:35
Lunch: 11:35am - 12:35
Blk 3: 12:35 - 1:50pm
Blk 4: 1:55 - 3:12pm
NEW – Revised Class Schedule: FRIDAY Dec. 19 (Early dismissal)
THIS FRIDAY (the last Friday before Winter Holidays, Dec 19th), Claremont staff will be sticking with tradition by organizing & cooking a pancake breakfast for all students that are interested in attending and eating! At any point between 9:00-9:30am, students will be able to pass by the cafeteria or the student lounge to pick up ‘pancakes to go’ and then spread out and eat where they like in the school (we will ensure that proper compost/recycle stations are present in all of our major eating areas). After that, all classes will be 40min in length, with a 30min lunch and an hour long special presentation in our Big Gym at the end of the day - all students are reminded to wear their jammies/cozys/XMas sweaters/etc!

Grade 9 Immunization Forms
Reminder for grade 9 students to please return your completed immunization consent forms to the office ASAP. Please contact the local Health Unit at 250-544-2400 if you have any questions.

NEW – Drama Performance
Bravo to the grade 9-12 Drama and Stagecraft students on their 4 nights of plays last week. The trio of one-act plays were well performed with enthusiasm, talent, and lots of fun.

Reminder – Homework Club
Homework Club is up and running! Please drop in MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY every week, 3:15-4:15, in Room 235. Support is also available before school on TUESDAY mornings from 8:00-8:50.

For all of our International students: please come to our International Student Christmas Extravaganza THIS WEDNESDAY at lunch in the Learning Commons. Bring your own lunch. Treats and hot chocolate will be provided.

NEW –Grad Wear Update
If you didn't pick up your Grad Wear order last week, it is now at the Accounts Office.
Also, a limited number of extra Grad Wear items are on sale at the Accounts Office too, on a first-come-first-served basis, starting TODAY.
Those who ordered Pinnies, or had mistakes with your order, you will receive those items in January
NEW - Alumni Q & A for All Grads: Dec 16th
All grade 12’s will have an opportunity to meet some of Claremont’s alumni TOMORROW (TUESDAY) in block 2 for the full block in the theatre. This event runs in Block 2 for all Gr 12's for the full block in the Theatre - Grads will be called down at the start after attendance is taken in their classrooms.

The Grad 2026 parents are running a holiday 50/50 raffle to support our grads. This is a win-win event: a chance to win some cash AND support our grads at the same time!
Every ticket sold helps us create an unforgettable graduation year for our students: safe grad celebrations and amazing year-end activities. NEW – Tree Chipping – January 3
The Key Club is running a tree chipping fundraiser on SATURDAY January 3 in the student parking lot. Donations will go towards various community charities they support. This is a great opportunity to dispose of your holiday tree, while supporting others in the community. Suggested amount for tree donation is $10 or more.
NEW – Bottle Drive
The Grad 2025 Parent Group is running a bottle drive on SATURDAY January 3 in the student parking lot. This is a great time to get rid of your holiday empties and support the 2025 grad class at the same time! This will be a drop-off and go….. no sorting required.

Work Experience students: will you be working a lot over Winter Break? Meet with your WEx teacher to start logging hours or make sure to keep logging hours over the winter break!

Thank you to the Claremont PAC for treating our staff to a delicious holiday luncheon this past Wednesday. The selection of food was absolutely fabulous, and we all enjoyed the delicious luncheon. We feel very appreciated!!!
PAC Fundraiser: Country Grocer Receipts
Here is an easy way to support your PAC year-round. Save your Country Grocer receipts and bring them to the school front office. We appreciate your participation in this fundraiser, which will benefit our school community with up to $2000 in grocery gift cards.

Student Drivers
Reminder to all students who are parking their vehicles in the student parking lot: you are required to be registered with the school. Permission forms and parking passes ($2 each) are available with Mrs. Waller in the Accounting office; students will be required to show their drivers licence, their insurance papers, and their ICBC Driver’s Abstract.
COMMUNITY NEWS
Peninsula Youth Clinic at Shoreline Medical
At this Youth Clinic, services are 100% free, confidential, and explicitly inclusive of all genders and sexualities! This clinic operates on THURSDAYS, 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm, for Mental and Sexual Health education (there is no physician scheduled). Appointments with a physician are offered on FRIDAYS from 10:00 am – 12:00pm. Both telehealth and in-person appointments are offered for our physicians and counselors.
