NEW – Grad Wear Orders – Final Opportunity!!
Are you interested in ordering Grad Wear? This is your final opportunity. Ordering only happens once per Grad Year. Due to a very low response from Grads by the deadline on Monday November 4 we have decided to extend the orders to FRIDAY November 8 at NOON, NO LATER. Orders must be submitted to Mrs. Waller in the accounts office. Don't be disappointed, order your Grad Wear today!!
Poppies
Remember to wear your poppy to the assembly on Friday. If you do not have a poppy and would like one, there are some available, by donation, at the office. All proceeds support our local Legion and the programs that they offer.
Spring Break 2026
Do you have plans for Spring Break 2026? How does an 11-day trip to France, Italy & Greece sound? There is a joint Claremont and Stelly's trip planned for March 2026 - it will be an amazing opportunity to see some European highlights on a completely organized tour. Please come to Rm. 220 (Robotics lab) at lunch TODAY for more detailed information.

We honour the service and sacrifice of the men and women who served our country, and those who continue to serve to preserve our Canadian values and freedoms. Thank you to the men and women of our Canadian military: the soldiers, medics, equipment technicians, pilots, support staff and peacekeepers. MONDAY November 11th is Remembrance Day, students will not be in session this day.

Exciting News! Wolf Pack’s Second Seattle Adventure is Coming!
Get ready for an epic journey! This May or June, the Wolf Pack is heading back to Seattle for an unforgettable adventure. We’ll be staying at the awesome Great Wolf Lodge again, but this year’s trip is packed with new and thrilling experiences! Here’s our tentative plan:
- A fresh exploration of the lava tubes at Mt. Saint Helens.
- An underground Seattle tour that’ll take you beneath the streets of this fascinating city.
- A day at a baseball game, cheering loud and proud!

Parent Volunteers/Drivers
Reminder that all volunteers for School District 63 are required to complete a Criminal Record Check every three years. Sports and trips will start up quickly, so we encourage parents to be proactive and do this NOW, if you might be interested in driving; the process can take a few weeks at rush time. Parents are asked to please email your student’s teacher AND the Attendance Line if your student will be absent or late for class. NEW – CSI Aquatics
CSI Aquatics athlete Noah Weaver scored personal best times in the pool this past weekend at the College Cup. Noah finished 3rd in the 1500m and 6th in the 400m freestyle against university and college athletes. Way to go, Noah!
Junior Girls’ Basketball Tryouts
JUNIOR GIRLS’ BASKETBALL TRYOUTS: the next tryout dates are TODAY, November 6 from 3:30-5 pm in the small gym and THURSDAY, November 7 from 3:30-5 pm in the big gym. See Ms. Robertson if you have questions.

Game Making Club
Game making Club starting – any students interested in joining a computer game making club please see Mr. Beeston in Rm. 236 this week.
Badminton Club drop in is on for THURSDAY night in the small gym from 5:30-7:00pm. If you have your own racket, make sure to bring it. PE strip is mandatory!
Gardening Club
Interested in learning more about growing your own fruits and vegetables? See Ms. Stover in Rm. 322 at lunch this week. No experience necessary.
Claremont Helpers
Hey Spartans, we wanted to let you know about a new club called the Claremont Helpers Organization – their aim is to make the school and the community a better place. Meetings will be hosted every WEDNESDAY at lunch in Rm. 321. Come and check it out!

Grad Photo Openings Available
A reminder to grads to sign up for a photo session - there are lots of unused times over the next 3 days that need to be filled up! There is one space for each grad to have a photo taken and any unused spaces means one grad does not get a photo taken. There are limited spaces for retakes in the new year. Please check your google classroom or email for instructions on how to book your session. We encourage all grads to have their grad photos taken to ensure your Entire Graduating Class is included in the Yearbook and Composite. Any questions, please see Mrs. Knapp in the office.
Online Booking for Grad Photos is Now Open!
Grad Portraits are coming soon!! November 6 – November 15. Book, Plan and Prepare for your session at: https://prestigeportraits.ca/. There is 1 appointment space for each grad. Lifetouch will be opening additional appointments as they fill up. Don’t miss your appointment without rescheduling as Lifetouch no longer has studio appointments available. All sessions will be held in the PE portable behind our Small Gym; there will be two sessions happening at once (20min each) and you can book from 10am-6pm.
Taking your Grad Portrait ensures that your picture along with your Grad Yearbook Writeup (which you will be asked to submit soon) appears in our yearbook for the final time in your school career! When signing up online, please scroll down and enter your school city and province to locate Claremont School. You will be listed with your Legal Name. No 8 Digit Code is provided for booking your appointments. Upon scheduling your session, you will receive an 8-digit Appointment Code. This code may be used to reschedule or cancel your appointment if needed.
Portrait Sitting Fees - a $30 sitting fee is required if doing a deluxe portrait sitting and getting proofs. This is payable at time of booking or is payable to the photographer at the time of your sitting. Please click continue at the bottom of the page where it says, “Pay at your session”, you do not need to pay the $30.00 online. You are asked to pay any fees owing, in person, at the time of the photo session. Preferred method of payment is debit or credit.
Yearbook Only Photos - no photo session fee is required if taking a Grad photo for the yearbook only. A photo must be taken of each grad for the yearbook and the Graduation Ceremony. When booking online once you have entered your postal code you will see below “pay at your session”, click on the small “Continue” below. Your appointment is now booked.
We encourage all grads to have their grad photos taken to ensure your Entire Graduating Class is included in the Yearbook and Composite.

A community member in the Broadmead area is seeking a student volunteer to coach her 13 yr old granddaughter in basketball. You do not need transportation, and this opportunity could be a paid position, if it works out. The schedule and other logistics will be discussed when you contact the family. Get your STYLE on!
District #63 HAIR Program Students will be visiting Claremont to demonstrate their hairstyling skills! WEDNESDAY, November 13 at LUNCH in the STUDENT LOUNGE. There are SIX openings for volunteers to have their hair styled. Sign up NOW, with Mrs. Watson in the Career Centre. (List will be first come, first served, and then you'll be added to a waiting list if there are no-shows on the day). You can also just gather around and watch the style show! And if you're interested in applying for the Hair Program, come to the Career Centre and make an appointment to talk to Mr. Bussoli!
Post-Secondary BC (PSBC) is coming to Claremont!
We are expecting around 15 post-secondary schools from the province, to attend on THURSDAY, November 7 in the Learning Commons - 1:00 - 2:30. If your class is not attending, individual students may attend (with teacher permission), for 15-20 minutes, during Block 3 or 4.
Parents as Education and Career Coaches (with Education Planner BC):
Save the date! WEDNESDAY, November 13 - 6:30-7:45pm. Learn about post-secondary education and career opportunities, as well as tools to best support your student in planning for their future. The information will be especially helpful for families with students in grades 10-12. Registration is required. The session will be on MS Teams. Register here. Country Grocer at Royal Oak - Job Opportunity
A part-time position is available for a Meat Clerk! Wages start at $17.50/hr. No experience required, but this position requires physical demand - you can lift up to 50lbs, and no problem handling fresh meats. Country Grocer Deli is Hiring!
12 hrs/week, mostly nights - 4:30 -8:30pm. Preference given if you have previous experience, but not necessary. Minimum wage to start (dependent on experience). One weekend night, and one to two during the week. Duties include: customer service, cleaning, dishes, light food prep. The deli is fast paced! The ability to multi-task is a bonus. Fun/dynamic team! Students, if you're interested in this position, go to the customer service desk at Royal Oak Country Grocer to inquire and apply.

Outreach Mentorship Program – UBC
The UBC MD Admissions Office recently launched the MD Outreach Youth Mentorship Program. This program connects high school students with UBC Medical Students to learn more about being a university student, learning about self-care, and applying to UBC medical school. The Peninsula Youth Clinic is located at 2379 Bevan Avenue in Sidney and is open every THURSDAY from 5:30-7:30pm for help with any medical concern (physical, mental, and sexual health).
