NEW – Girls Lacrosse Block 4
Block 4 Girls’ Lacrosse students: you will be dismissed from your block 3 class TODAY, with your teachers’ permission, at 1:37 (10 minutes early) to get changed quickly and get on the school bus at the back of the small gym to go to the turf.
Spartan Wear
Spartan Wear is available to order for 3 final days. You can get your order form from Mrs. Waller in the Accounting office to order Claremont hoodies, sweat pants, t-shirts and long-sleeved shirts. Orders and payments are due at the accounting office by THIS FRIDAY, March 6th. Products will be at school after Spring Break.
TC10K (April 26) – Sign Up Before the End of March
Calling all runners & walkers, staff and students…. if you are interested in being part of our Claremont team for the annual TC10K event, please sign up on the TC10K website to join the team asap. All levels of running/jogging/walking are welcome.. We need to have at least 10 participants sign up before March 29th to be eligible for having team T-shirts printed. This is the registration LINK. Under “View Teams”, search for “Claremont Secondary” to join the team. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Laszlo.

NEW - Claremont's Successful Police Camp Applicants
Congratulations to the four Claremont students chosen to attend Police Camp during Spring Break 2026: Tea KOLODY, Jan VAN DIJKEN, Jack WALKER, and Elliot ZIEGLER. These students had to apply and compete against approximately 200 other applicants across Victoria and the Gulf Islands. Many other students from Claremont interviewed successfully…. It was difficult for the planning committee to make their decisions. We are proud of all the Claremont students who applied!
UBC Doctor of Medicine / Island Medical Program info: March 4 TONIGHT
Would you like to become doctor? You can earn your MD on Vancouver Island! You are invited to a FREE information session for the Island Medical Program, which delivers UBC’s Doctor of Medicine program at UVic. You will learn about the program and its admissions process, what it takes to become a doctor, and what it’s like studying medicine on Vancouver Island. This info session will be presented simultaneously on Zoom and in-person at the University of Victoria.

Criminal Justice Information Session – March 4 TODAY

Come to Camosun's Criminal Justice Information Session. Over 50 agencies in the Criminal, Community and Social Justice fields will be attending. They will meet with students and talk about the work they do, and provide information regarding volunteer and employment opportunities, and practicums.

Volunteer Opportunity – Easter Egg Hunt Event
The Neal Estate Group is holding their 27th annual Easter Egg Hunt, supporting BC Children's Hospital! Volunteers are needed for hiding the eggs, helping the kids find them, crafts, face painting, cupcake decorating, and set-up/take-down.
Location: Beaver Lake Park (South Shelter, filter bed location).

Indigenous Youth: Canadian Armed Forces Info – March 13
Are you a First Nations, Métis, Inuit, or non-status Indigenous student, and interested in the Canadian Armed Forces? Then don't miss this info session! Officers will be informing students about:
1) Canadian Armed Forces Indigenous Summer Program (CAFISP - Raven Program): The six-week Raven Program is designed for youth to experience military life, combine it with traditional teachings, and explore potential careers in the Canadian Armed Forces.
2) Indigenous Leadership Opportunity Year: A paid, one-year program at the Royal Military College of Canada.

Student Drivers
Reminder to all students who are parking their vehicles in the student parking lot: you are required to be registered with the school. Permission forms and parking passes ($2 each) are available with Mrs. Waller in the Accounting office; students will be required to show their drivers licence, their insurance papers, and their ICBC Driver’s Abstract.

Peninsula Youth Clinic at Shoreline Medical
At this Youth Clinic, services are 100% free, confidential, and explicitly inclusive of all genders and sexualities! This clinic operates on THURSDAYS, 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm, for Mental and Sexual Health education (there is no physician scheduled). Appointments with a physician are offered on FRIDAYS from 10:00 am – 12:00pm. Both telehealth and in-person appointments are offered for our physicians and counselors.
