NEW – Kindness Campaign

Lost & Found

Two keys were found in the student parking lot on Monday. They are not car or house keys. They look like they belong to locks. Please come to the office to claim them.

 

Drop Date Deadline For Courses – May 31

Important Notice for all students (especially grade 11 and 12 students): the last official day to drop a course from your timetable, so it doesn’t show up on your transcript, will be THIS FRIDAY, May 31st.  Please ensure that if you still need to drop a course, you do so as soon as possible by checking in with one of our school counsellors.

 

After School Homework Club

For all students who would like extra help in academic classes, help from Education Assistants is available four days a week (MONDAY-THURSDAY) for one hour after school in room 235. All academic subjects are welcome, but especially if you are struggling in Math & Science. This is open to all students in all grades.

 

NEW – Learning Commons Contest

The "Guess The Book Title" contest winner is:  Anastasiia KROKA.  Please come to the Learning Commons to claim your prize.

The next “Guess The Book Title” contest is under way. All students are welcome to come to the Learning Commons and make a guess.

 

New School Bus Registration Information

¬ FINE ARTS

Claremont Musical Theatre Presents: “Anything Goes”… May 23 - June 1

 “Anything Goes” continues this week, WEDNESDAY to SATURDAY. This is a very funny and entertaining show: a classic Broadway musical set in the 1930s on a ship headed from New York to England, with music by Cole Porter and lots of laughs! We have about 75 students involved in the production in our cast, crew and orchestra. It's a fun night out!

This week’s performance dates are May 29 – June 1 at 7 pm, plus a matinee on June 1st at 1 pm.  All tickets are $17.50 in advance or $20 at the door. Purchase tickets through your SD63 online account LINK or in person at the accounting office.  For questions, please call Mrs. Waller at 250-658-5221 ext. 81572.

NEW - CSI Swimming

The CSI swimmers competed at the annual ISC Medley Challenge last weekend in Victoria. The Medley Challenge is Long Course Invitational Meet that celebrates all four traditional competitive strokes, culminating in the popular Eliminator event. NEW – Volunteers Opportunity (SATURDAY June 1)

Access Awareness Day, is being held in Sidney at the Shoal Centre.  Access Awareness is a comprehensive campaign to raise awareness about disability, accessibility and social inclusion.  Volunteer are needed to help with set up, take down, serving coffee and cookies, and other support tasks.  Event is THIS SATURDAY June 1, 9am-12pm OR 12pm-3pm at Shoal Centre:- 10030 Resthaven Drive, Sidney.  To sign up, email: yep@beaconcs.ca

 

Volunteer Opportunity (SATURDAY June 1)

Volunteers are needed at Kids Art in the Park at the Brentwood Bay Festival!  This is a fun community event, where there will be a parade, and variety of vendors and entertainers. Volunteers are needed to help lead kids through art activities and crafts.

Volunteer Opportunity (FRIDAY May 31)

Northridge Elementary School (on Carey Rd.) is planning a Fun Fair at their school, and they need volunteers to help with face painting, and assisting with games and activities.  Event is THIS FRIDAY May 31, 4-9pm. Student Lifeguards Needed

CPAC Staff Appreciation Lunch May 29

Peninsula Youth Clinic

The Peninsula Youth Clinic is located at 2379 Bevan Avenue in Sidney and is open every THURSDAY from 5:30-7:30pm for help with any medical concern (physical, mental, and sexual health). Call 250-656-4143 to make an appointment with a physician or counsellor.  Services are 100% free, confidential, and explicitly inclusive of all genders and sexualities!
