NEW – Marine Sciences Opportunity for Grade 11 & 12 Students!

Are you interested in Marine Sciences? Don’t miss out on an exciting three-day field trip to the Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre, happening November 6-8!

This trip offers hands-on experiences in marine science, including time in Bamfield's world renown science labs, on the water in Bamfield's research vessel, and exploring Bamfield’s stunning beaches and coastline.

NEW - Student Information Verification Forms:

Reminder for students to return their Student Info Verification Forms, signed by a parent or guardian, so we can make any necessary changes in our information system!

 

NEW - Early Dismissal THURSDAY Sept. 11

To accommodate the Meet the Teachers evening on THURSDAY, there will be a revised class schedule, with classes ending at 2:12pm. *Note: school bussed will pick up students at the regular time.

Block 1:  9:00-10:06

Block 2:  10:12 – 11:18

LUNCH:  11:18 – 11:54

Block 3:  11:54 – 1:00

Block 4:  1:06 – 2:12

 

Work Experience 12

Do you want to start WEx12?  Or are you already in WEx12 and worked over the SUMMER?  Come to the Career Centre (Room 217), by FRIDAY, Sept 12, and see your Work Experience Teacher - Mr. Bussoli or Ms. Marshall!

 

If a Student is Absent or Late

Fall Teams

These are reminders of fall team tryouts that start very fast.  If you cannot attend one of these early practices, please make sure you communicate with the coach. If there are any questions about any of these teams and you can't locate the coach, please see Mr Reisig (PE office) for help.

Sr Girls – tryouts continue TODAY at 5:15 in the main gym – Coaches: Mr. Quested & Ms. Heppell

Jr Boys – tryouts are TODAY and WEDNESDAY Sept 10 after school on the main field – Coach: Mr Allen Jacques (community)

Here is an easy way to support your PAC year-round. Save your Country Grocer receipts and bring them to the school front office.  We appreciate your participation in this fundraiser, which will benefit our school community with up to $2000 in grocery gift cards.

COMMUNITY NEWS

Peninsula Youth Clinic at Shoreline Medical

At this Youth Clinic, services are 100% free, confidential, and explicitly inclusive of all genders and sexualities! This clinic operates on THURSDAYS, 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm, for Mental and Sexual Health education (there is no physician scheduled). Appointments with a physician are offered on FRIDAYS from 10:00 am – 12:00pm.  Both telehealth and in-person appointments are offered for our physicians and counselors.
