¬ ATHLETICS

NEW – Sr Girls Volleyball – Island Champions!

The Senior Girls Volleyball team crushed it at Islands this past weekend. On Friday the girls swept round robin play, winning every set and finishing the day 6-0. In the semifinals, we played our nemesis: Royal Bay.  We won the first set after a big comeback but lost the next set 25-18.  Our first loss of the islands.  The girls regrouped and came out ON FIRE!!!  We won set #3, 25-11, and set #4, 25-7!!!  An absolute massacre in a provincial clinching game!!  We moved to the finals against our host team, Dover Bay.  We dismantled Dover in what had to be one of the most dominant finals performances in championship memory.  Claremont won 25-17, 25-15, 25-12!  Go Spartans!

All 12 players played in multiple sets in the semis and the finals in a true team performance! Shoutout to Spartans players named as island All Stars, Faith PATTERSON and Avery QUESTED, and Tournament MVP Shea McDOUGALL who was unstoppable.
