NEW – Claremont Robotics
Claremont's 1022 Robotics teams competed against 27 other island teams at Gulf Islands Secondary School this past weekend. Teams 1022H and 1022W paired up to beat the #2 seeded pair and then the #1 seeded pair in the playoffs to complete the upset and become Tournament Champions. Congratulations to Fielding, Turner, Owen, Zane, Connor, Linden, Bill and Zoie on the victory! Go Spartans!

Toys for Teens: Dec.3-10
Three final days! Our 13th Annual “TOYS FOR TEENS” donation drive continues TODAY and runs to December 10th. Claremont collects $10 Gift Cards (or cash to purchase Gift Cards) for Teens in need in our community, in support of The Zone 91.3's annual “"Willows Family Toy Drive". All donations can be made in students’ Block 1 classes or at the office; some gift card ideas for teens in need are listed below:

Claremont Drama Presents An Evening of Three Short Plays: Dec.10-13
THIS WEDNESDAY, the Claremont Drama program will raise the curtain on three humorous and insightful One-Act plays about high school life. The three shorter plays are titled, “Username,” “Gossip” and “Alienated”, and showcase the skills of the 34 students in our Drama 9-12 class and the 15 students of the backstage crew. Be ready for an evening of humour, satire, mystery, insight, relevance, twists, and lots of fun. These plays are appropriate for all ages. All tickets are $10 and are available at the door. Showtimes run December 10th-13th, at 7:30pm in the Ridge Playhouse.

Reminder of the “Psych Sessions” meetings that run on TUESDAYS at lunch in the wood shop classroom. TOMORROW, we will be continuing the series on ‘relationships,’ such as what should you be able to expect from friends and others? Come by to find out more. TUESDAY at lunch.
Reminder – Homework Club
Homework Club is up and running! Please drop in MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY every week, 3:15-4:15, in Room 235. Support is also available before school on TUESDAY mornings from 8:00-8:50.

3 IGS 11 students are running a bake sale THIS THURSDAY Dec.11th to fundraise money for The Wanted Children Foundation in Nigeria. Money raised will support orphanaged children to make their future better.

PAC Fundraiser: Country Grocer Receipts
Here is an easy way to support your PAC year-round. Save your Country Grocer receipts and bring them to the school front office. We appreciate your participation in this fundraiser, which will benefit our school community with up to $2000 in grocery gift cards.

Student Drivers
Reminder to all students who are parking their vehicles in the student parking lot: you are required to be registered with the school. Permission forms and parking passes ($2 each) are available with Mrs. Waller in the Accounting office; students will be required to show their drivers licence, their insurance papers, and their ICBC Driver’s Abstract.

Peninsula Youth Clinic at Shoreline Medical
At this Youth Clinic, services are 100% free, confidential, and explicitly inclusive of all genders and sexualities! This clinic operates on THURSDAYS, 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm, for Mental and Sexual Health education (there is no physician scheduled). Appointments with a physician are offered on FRIDAYS from 10:00 am – 12:00pm. Both telehealth and in-person appointments are offered for our physicians and counselors.
