¬ GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

NEW - Lost & Found

Two keys were found in the student parking lot this morning. They are not car keys. Please come to the office to claim them.

 

Drop Date Deadline For Courses – May 31

Important Notice for all students (especially grade 11 and 12 students): the last official day to drop a course from your timetable, so it doesn’t show up on your transcript, will be THIS FRIDAY, May 31st.  Please ensure that if you still need to drop a course, you do so as soon as possible by checking in with one of our school counsellors.

 

After School Homework Club

For all students who would like extra help in academic classes, help from Education Assistants is available four days a week (MONDAY-THURSDAY) for one hour after school in room 235. All academic subjects are welcome, but especially if you are struggling in Math & Science. This is open to all students in all grades.

 

New School Bus Registration Information

¬ FINE ARTS

Claremont Musical Theatre Presents: “Anything Goes”… May 23 - June 1

 “Anything Goes” continues this week, WEDNESDAY to SATURDAY. This is a very funny and entertaining show: a classic Broadway musical set in the 1930s on a ship headed from New York to England, with music by Cole Porter and lots of laughs! We have about 75 students involved in the production in our cast, crew and orchestra. It's a fun night out!

This week’s performance dates are May 29 – June 1 at 7 pm, plus a matinee on June 1st at 1 pm.  All tickets are $17.50 in advance or $20 at the door. Purchase tickets through your SD63 online account LINK or in person at the accounting office.  For questions, please call Mrs. Waller at 250-658-5221 ext. 81572.

There is a paid score keeping opportunity THIS WEEKEND at Claremont! 20$/hr. Other locations also include PISE, UVIC, Oak Bay, SMUS, and PCS!  Please see Ms. Dheensaw or Mr. Dunlop for more information on how to sign up!

 

NEW - CSI Rowing

This past weekend saw some of the CSI rowers at the Nanaimo Sprints Regatta. We had some great races happen against crews from Vancouver Island. We came away with a total of 5 first place, 2 second place, and 1 third place. Go Spartans!  Here is a summary of our podium placements:

Volunteer Opportunity

Volunteers are needed at Kids Art in the Park at the Brentwood Bay Festival!  This is a fun community event, where there will be a parade, and variety of vendors and entertainers. Volunteers are needed to help lead kids through art activities and crafts.

Volunteer Opportunity

Northridge Elementary School (on Carey Rd.) is planning a Fun Fair at their school, and they need volunteers to help with face painting, and assisting with games and activities.  Event is THIS FRIDAY May 31, 4-9pm. Health X-Ploration Day – May 28

If you are considering a career in the Health Care Industry, sign up for a field trip to Camosun College, for a Health 'X-ploration' Day! Students will explore dual credit pathways in various health programs including practical nursing, health care assistant, medical radiography, and certified medical lab assistant. CPAC Staff Appreciation Lunch May 29

Peninsula Youth Clinic

The Peninsula Youth Clinic is located at 2379 Bevan Avenue in Sidney and is open every THURSDAY from 5:30-7:30pm for help with any medical concern (physical, mental, and sexual health).
