¬ GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
NEW - Yearbooks
All yearbooks have been sold!! They will be handed out next week (June 19-22), for those who purchased one. Students can check with Mrs. Waller in the Accounting Office to be sure they have ordered one.
MONDAY: grade 12s will receive their yearbooks at the Grad BBQ.
TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY& THURSDAY: grades 9,10,&11 can pick them up at lunch in the Student Lounge.
NEW - Timetables for 2023/24
Timetables for next school year are currently being reviewed and finalized. Preliminary timetables will be sent out to students electronically (just like the report cards) on TUESDAY June 20 at the end of the school day. Students, check your school email after block 4 on TUESDAY; you will use your usual school login and password.
NEW – Locker Clean-Out
It is time to think about cleaning out lockers. If you don’t need your locker for the final week of school, please clean out your locker TODAY or as soon as you can, and take your lock home. **Make sure to write down your lock combination so you remember it again in September.
NEW – Lost & Found Table
A lost & found table has been set up in the horseshoe hallway. Please take a look to see if any of the clothing, water bottles, and miscellaneous items belong to you. Anything leftover on THURSDAY June 24 will be donated to charity.
There is also a bin of random Air Pods and wireless ear buds in the office. Come by to see if any of them are a match for your singles.
Cafeteria Service
Reminder that TODAY is the final day of regular cafeteria service.
Next week, cafeteria will only be open on MONDAY & TUESDAY with pizza and baked goods on both days.
NEW – 1993 Student Photos
If any students have parents, relatives or friends who were in grade 8 in 1993 in ROMS or North Saanich Middle School, Mr. Arsenault has put up a display of student photos from a day-shadow activity, in the horseshoe hallway and in his office.
Class of 2024 – Upcoming Vote for Your Pinnie Colour
Grade 11s… Grad 2024… listen up! It's almost time to pick your Grad colour. Join the Google Classroom for updates; the code is on our Instagram or posters around the school. There will be a Grad Exec meeting THIS TUESDAY at lunch in room 200 to choose potential pinnie colours to be voted on.
Dr. Gunderson: June 16
For all Grade 11 and 12 students: Dr. Lisa Gunderson will be back in our Claremont Theatre TODAY at lunch to be able to answer any further questions you might have based on her presentations on May 17th! Feel free to drop in to ask anything you might still be curious about. Hope to see you there!

School Bus Registration For 2023-2024
Online school bus registration for next school year is open. To register, you will need your Student #. Registration link is on the Saanich School District website or HERE.
After School Homework Club
Reminder: for all students who would like extra help in academic classes, help from Education Assistants is available four days a week (MONDAY-THURSDAY) for one hour after school in room 235. All academic subjects are welcome, but especially if you are struggling in Math & Science. This is open to all students in all grades.

NEW - Night of Dance
Congratulations to all of the students who performed in two shows of Night of Dance this week. The performances were an outstanding showcase of impressive choreography and beautiful talent.

Cross Country
Attention all Cross-Country runners. There will be an important meeting TODAY at the start of lunch for anyone that is interested in being a member of next year's cross-country team. Please meet in Mr. Nelson's room (137) by noon.

Extra UVic Ceremony Tickets
There are still some grad ceremony tickets available. If you did not get your first 2 ‘extra’ tickets, now is the time to purchase them before they go to open sales on June 19th. Please call the UVic Ticket Office at 250-721-8480 to book.

Grad Fundraiser: Ongoing Bottle Drive
An easy way to support the 2023 Grad Class is by donating empty bottles and beverage containers throughout the school year until June at the Bottle Depot location at Glanford/Quadra. Account name is “Claremont Grad 2023.” Thank you for supporting the grad class of 2023.

Outward Bound is providing an exciting opportunity for Victoria-based youth to be part of a fully funded summer expedition! Students gain valuable social-emotional skills through challenging and experiential outdoor adventures that build self-esteem, social-emotional skills, an understanding of their resilience, and a deep connection to nature. NEW - The Victoria International Airport is hiring for Airport Screening Officers.
This is a great opportunity for any grads who are 18 years of age.
Lawn mowing. A resident in the neighborhood is looking for a student for mowing his lawn about once a week, or as needed. He will provide the mower and any equipment.
A senior in our neighbourhood is looking for help with light yard work, 3 hours per week for $20/hour.

iCan Bike is looking for volunteers for their summer camps July 10-14 (morning or afternoon shifts are available). Gain valuable experience working alongside youth with special needs in a fun, active environment. Camps are at Panorama Recreation Centre.

Peninsula Youth Clinic
The Peninsula Youth Clinic is located at 2379 Bevan Avenue in Sidney and is open every THURSDAY from 5:30-7:30pm for help with any medical concern (physical, mental, and sexual health).
