¬ GRAD 2026
Grad Photos
Grad Photo appointments start THIS MONDAY September 29th
Appointment space is limited - Book your Grad Photos NOW with Artona. Appointments are available October 1 - 5 (Sept. 29 is full). Bookings can be made online at: https://artona.com/bookings
Any Questions? See Mrs. Knapp in the office.
Artona is pleased to offer a mobile studio to the students at Claremont Secondary. It will be located at the far end of the student parking lot. If you have mobility issues, alternate arrangements will be coordinated for you.
A $60.00 deposit is required to book your grad photo time slot. When you order your grad pictures, this amount is fully deducted from your order. If, after seeing your proofs, you choose not to order photos, there is a link on the Artona website to request a full refund of the $60.00 deposit paid. You have 90 days to order from your photo session, and with ordering online, your deposit is automatically applied.
Yearbook or Grad Composite Photo Only- If your child knows that they are just getting a picture for the yearbook and grad composite, there will be 1 day available in February to do that. These sessions, in September and October, are for students who want a full session with more time allocated and multiple poses.
If there is no credit card available, (for any reason, often it’s a student doing the booking instead of the parent), simply reach out to Artona directly, (or via the school) with student full name and student number and we can create a code to bypass the requirement. (usually 24-36 hour turnaround time required)

¬ INDIGENOUS EDUCATION
Day of Truth & Reconciliation – Sept.30
Day of Truth & Reconciliation is a National day of remembrance and awareness in Canada to honour the survivors of residential school, as well as the children who never made it home. It is an opportunity for all of us to reflect on the ongoing impacts of the residential school system and our shared responsibility in the process of reconciliation.
South Island Powwow – Sept 30
If you are looking for a community event to recognize Truth & Reconciliation Day, everyone is welcome at the 4th annual South Island Powwow. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate traditional Indigenous cultures and resiliency through song and dance, and an opportunity to recognize Survivors and their families in the spirit of reconciliation.
TUESDAY September 30th, at Royal Athletic Park. Gates open at 10:00am (Grand Entry at 12:00 noon). FREE admission, everyone welcome. Həyšxʷq́ə
