FILL BUCK'S TRUCK Annual Food Drive for the Mustard Seed runs from Monday, April 28 to Friday, May 2. Please donate healthy non-perishables, hygiene products or cash in your Block 1 classes. The class with the most donations will win a breakfast party!
Spirit Day this Friday - Students dress like a teacher, and teachers dress like a student!
Parent Volunteers/Drivers: Reminder that all volunteers for School District 63 are required to complete a Criminal Record Check every three years. Sports and trips will start up quickly, so we encourage parents to be proactive and do this NOW, if you might be interested in driving; the process can take a few weeks at rush time. The LINK to information can be found on the Claremont Secondary home page, under the Parents tab, Volunteer Information.
If a Student is Absent or Late: Parents are asked to please email your student’s teacher AND the Attendance Line if your student will be absent or late for class. The Link for the Claremont Attendance Line is always quick to find on the Quick Links on the Claremont website’s home page: claremont_attendance@saanichschools.ca or by phone by calling our main phone line at 250-658-5221 and selecting Option 1 for Attendance.

GRAD FUNDRAISING - Krispy Kreme Donuts
The Grads are selling Krispy Kreme donuts on Saturday April 26! Spread the word to friends and family and come out to support our next grad fundraising event! Donuts will be sold at Broadmead, Royal Oak and Uptown Walmart from 10 am – 2 pm. $20 per box of delicious fresh donuts. Grade 12 students – Do you need Volunteer Hours for Graduation? Interested in attending Camosun College after high school?
A student recruitment and admissions advisor will be visiting Claremont Monday, April 28 @ LUNCH to answer all of your questions! They will be setup in the main entrance of the school.

Sign up for the CiCan World of Choices Summit! This is an all-day field trip on Thursday, May 29. Students can explore and participate in four career pathway areas: Electrical, Carpentry, Pipe Trades and Computer Science or Sheet Metal, Electronics, Automotive and Fine Furniture. Students will be provided with a "brown bag" lunch. See Mr. Bussoli in the Career Centre (Room 217), for more information and to sign up. Permission forms are due Wednesday, May 21.
Saanich Youth WYLD Leadership Program
Are you interested in spending your summer working with kids? Do you want to be a leader in your community? Apply for the Saanich Youth WYLD Leadership Program! This hands-on mentored placement program is perfect for those interested in working with community, becoming a summer camp leader, teacher, lifeguard, fitness instructor, police officer, first responder and so much more. Applications are open until May 1.

Navy Day on the HMC Nanaimo - Tuesday April 29
Sign up to learn about life at sea in the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN). You will tour the ship, see demonstrations of shipboard activities, and find out about opportunities with RCN. For more information and to sign up, see Mr. Bussoli in the Career Centre. Deadline to sign up is April 17.

Peninsula Youth Clinic
The Peninsula Youth Clinic is located at 2379 Bevan Avenue in Sidney and is open every THURSDAY from 5:30-7:30pm for help with any medical concern (physical, mental, and sexual health). Call 250-656-4143 to make an appointment with a physician or counsellor. Services are 100% free, confidential, and explicitly inclusive of all genders and sexualities!
